Shirley Inspires and Educates at Green Mountain Aviation Field Days

This past weekend, the FlyShirley.com team showcased our AI Copilot at the Green Mountain Aviation Field Days event in beautiful Burlington, VT. Hosted in the impressive BETA Technologies hangar, this STEM-focused gathering featured an array of aircraft, from the F-35 to the innovative BETA ALIA-250.

Demonstrating Shirley’s Capabilities

Thanks to our friends at BETA Technologies, we had the unique opportunity to demonstrate Shirley's instructional abilities using their XPlane-based VR training platforms. Over the course of the weekend hundreds of attendees, from wide-eyed kids to seasoned pilots, stepping into the virtual cockpit of the ALIA-250 with Shirley as their copilot.

They got they opportunity to experience Shirley’s real-time, personalized instruction. By tapping into the simulator's data stream, Shirley offered guidance based on each user's actual altitude, airspeed, and vertical speed. From hovering and takeoff to cruise and landing, Shirley walked each participant through a flight profile, adjusting the instruction to the individual’s experience level and needs.

Advancing Flight Training Accessibility

This event was a glimpse into the future of flight training. Seeing our vision materialize before our eyes has energized our team and reaffirmed our commitment to make flight training more accessible and engaging.

As her son took off and cruised around virtual Washington D.C., one parent asked “is it really that easy to just hop in a go?” Well maybe not that easy, but with Shirley, we hope to make it easier.

In the coming weeks, users can expect even more improvements to Shirley's capabilities. We're focused on enhancing our AI Copilot's awareness and feedback mechanisms, aiming to create the most advanced and capable at-home training aid and simulator copilot.
